Introduction
Clients and general contractors (GCs) can easily add new contractors to their bid lists by inviting them to enroll in Highwire and connect. In many cases, clients and GCs will work with Highwire’s enrollment team to manage and expedite this process, but they can also invite contractors directly from their Home and Contractors pages. This functionality is typically used to invite one contractor at a time, as opposed to adding a larger list of contractors for a specific project or at initial onboarding.
Invite Contractor
1. The first step is to click on the blue “Invite Contractor” box in the upper right-hand corner of your screen:
2. Next, search for the contract that you wish to connect with:
3. If none of the recommendations are the contractor you’re looking for, you can click ‘+Add New Contractor’ at the bottom of the screen. A window will open where you will enter company information for the new contractor:
In this first section, you'll provide essential information, including:
- Company name (required)
- Company address
- Website (required)
- Employer Identification Number (EIN) (required if no website is included)
Once you’ve filled out the required fields, click "Continue".
4. Finally, you will provide the contact information for your new contractor, which is required for sending the connection request.
- If you selected an existing company in Step 3, you have the option to provide new contact information or select from a list of existing contacts.
- If you did not find any matching companies in Step 3, simply add the new contact's information.
- Click the ‘Continue’ button to be brought to the message personalization window. Here you’ll be able to customize the invitation that will be sent to the point of contact that you entered. You’ll also be able to specify the connection deadline.
- Click ‘Invite Contractor’ to send the invitation. An email will be sent to the new contractor notifying them of your interest in connecting. Our team of enrollment specialists will follow up with them to ensure a smooth and successful connection.
