Overview of the Contractors Page

Introduction

The Contractors page in the left-hand navigation provides clients with a centralized and efficient way to view, manage, and engage with their contractors.

What Is the “My Contractors” Tab?

The My Contractors tab, located under the Contractors page in the left-hand navigation menu, provides users with a centralized workspace to view and manage their organization’s contractor relationships on the Highwire platform.

This tab displays all contractors with whom your organization has established or initiated a data-sharing connection. These include:

  • Active Connections: Contractors are currently sharing their assessment information with you.

  • Invited Contractors: Contractors you have invited to connect who have not yet accepted.

  • Expired Connections: Contractors whose previous connections are no longer active.

  • Not Connected Contractors: Contractors added to projects within the Highwire Projects tool who have not yet connected to share assessment data.

Understanding Table Views

The My Contractors list is structured around configurable views. These views are saved configurations of the table that allow users to filter, sort, and organize data according to their specific needs.

Default Views

Each Highwire client account comes with a set of default views. These can be enabled or disabled for specific users. To customize which default views surface for new users under your account, please contact Highwire Support.

Custom Views

Users can create and manage their own custom views from the Table Settings menu:

  1. Access Table Settings: Click the gear icon at the top right of the table.

  2. Adjust Columns: Enable/disable columns and drag them to reorder as needed.

  3. Apply Filters: Set filters based on your preferred criteria.

  4. Save View: Click the Save View button in the table header to store your configuration as a new custom view.

Once saved, your custom view will automatically appear in the view selector. You can update or reorder your views at any time from the Views tab within Table Settings. Highwire will automatically save your selected views, so your preferences persist across sessions.

Exporting and Sharing Views

Users can export the My Contractors list to an Excel spreadsheet. The export respects the currently selected view and filters.

  • Full Export: Use the Share button next to the Filters button to export the entire view.

  • Selective Export: Multi-select specific contractors in the table to export just those rows.

Additionally, you can click Copy Link to View to generate a shareable link to your current table view. Anyone you share the link with must also have access to the data included in the view.

Taking Actions Within the Table

Each contractor row in the table includes a More Actions button on the right-hand side. This button allows users to quickly perform key actions directly from the list view, such as requesting assessment completion from contractors who have not yet met your requirements.

Note: Available actions depend on your user role and assigned permissions.

Find Contractors Tab

Easily discover new contractors on the Highwire Network from the Find Contractors tab:

  1. Navigate to the Contractors page in the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the Find Contractors page.

  3. Browse contractors across the Highwire Network and click on them to view their company profile.

  4. If you’re interested in connecting with a contractor, simply click the Invite to Connect button in the top right corner of their profile to initiate the request.

Invite a Contractor to Connect

If you would like to invite a specific contractor to connect and share their data with your organization:

  1. Navigate to the Contractors page in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the Invite Contractor button at the top right of the page.

  3. A drawer will open from the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Search by the contractor’s name, website, or Tax ID

  5. If the contractor is already in Highwire, select them from the list, or continue to invite them as a new contractor to Highwire.

Once the invitation is sent, the contractor will appear as Invited within your My Contractors list. They will receive an email with instructions on completing the connection and sharing their assessment information.
