Introduction
This article walks through how to add a new user to your Highwire profile or how to edit an existing user’s permissions.
Please note only the Admin user role has permission to add or edit a user.
Adding New Users to Your Highwire Account
Once logged in, click the Team tab on the left side of your profile.
3. Select the “Invite User” button.
4. Enter the new user’s country, contact information, title, and job function. Then, select their permissions.
5. Determine if the user should have “View” or “Edit” access to the following sections of your Highwire profile. Select each section as required. Leaving a selection blank will prevent the user from being able to view that section.
- Company
- Safety
- Finance
- Insurance
Please note that not all profiles will require Financial or Insurance assessments.
6. Select the "Grant administrative access to all areas of Highwire" box if the user should become an administrator for the profile. Administrators have the following permissions:
- Access to all sections of the profile
- Access to billing information via the Manage Subscription page
- Ability to update the permissions of other users on the account
7. Click the “Invite User” button at the bottom of the panel to finish the process. If the button is still gray, check that all required fields are filled. The user will receive an email invitation with a link to create a password and log in to Highwire.
Please note that if the user already has login access to a different account, they will not receive an email invitation, but instead will be able to choose which account to log into at their next sign-in.
Editing Existing Users
On the Team page, click the three dots on the right side of a listed user. Then, click “Edit” from the menu that appears.
After editing the user’s information or permissions, click the “Save” button at the bottom of the window.
Please note that email addresses cannot be edited once a user account has been created. You will need to create a new user with the desired email address and can remove the previous user once the process is complete.
