Introduction
Your client may require you to upload your latest insurance certificate. Follow the steps below to see how to upload a copy of your most recent insurance certificate for each applicable Client.

How to Upload an Insurance Certificate
- Click the Insurance tab on the left side of your profile.
- Click the blue link at the right side of each client connection to upload your insurance certificate. You may upload multiple insurance documents to each client.
- A new window will appear, and you will have the option to upload the insurance certificate or drag and drop it from your desktop into the window.
You will receive an email notification from Highwire 14 days before the insurance certificate expires, reminding you to upload your latest certificate for the upcoming term.
Insurance Requirements
Some clients have specific insurance requirements. These are listed in the drop-down table after clicking your client’s name.
There are three types of criteria that clients set requirements for:
- Policy Limit
- Insurance Specifications (checkboxes on your certificate of insurance)
- Expiration Date
Highwire will display a “Yes” or “No” under the Meets Requirements column to indicate whether your certificate of insurance matches the criteria set by your client.
- In the example below, the provided certificate of insurance does not meet the client’s policy limit and does not have the “Claims Made” specification checked:
- In the example below, the provided certificate of insurance meets all three criteria set by the client for Workers Compensation and Employers’ Liability:
