How do I add a new inspection type? (Admins Only)

 

CREATING A NEW INSPECTION TYPE  

(AND EDITING EXISTING INSPECTION TYPES)

 

Create a New Inspection Type

  1. Navigate to the Inspect tab
  2. Click ‘Configure’ on the left side.

Note: The configure tab is only available to Administrators

  1. Click ‘Add New Inspection Type’
  2. Name your Inspection Type
  3. Select if you want to ‘Enable Pre-Planning Feature
  4. Click ‘Add’

ADD CATEGORIES TO ANY NEW OR EXISTING CHECKLIST

  1. Select the Inspection Type
  2. Click ‘Add New Category’
  3. Type the Category Name
  4. Click ‘Add’

ADD QUESTIONS TO ANY NEW OR EXISTING CATEGORY

  1. Select the category you want to add questions to.
  2. Type the question name
  3. Click ‘Add Question’
  4. Click ‘Close’

‘HIDE’ INSPECTION TYPES  

  • Click ’Hide’ if you no longer want an inspection type

HIDE CATEGORIES

  • Categories and questions can only be deleted if there are zero (0) findings assigned. If you do need a category or question deleted that has findings assigned you will need to contact Highwire.
  1. Click the pencil icon under Action

  1. Read the warning and click ‘OK’
  2. Click ‘Hide’
  3. Click ‘Update’

HIDE QUESTION

  1. Click the category where you want to change the question.
  2. Read the warning and click ‘OK’
  3. Click ‘Hide’
  4. Click ‘Update’
