Introduction
The Highwire Companion is a new feature that brings contractor information into the tools and systems you already use through a secure, lightweight browser extension. Preconstruction, estimating, safety, and project teams can reference Highwire’s contractor assessments in real time, without switching between systems.
How to Install Highwire Companion
How to Install
- Go to the Chrome Web Store. Using Microsoft Edge? Click here.
- Click “Add to Chrome.” (Click “Get” if you are on Microsoft Edge).
How to Pin the Highwire Companion to Your Toolbar
- Click the Extension icon in the upper-right corner of your browser window.
- Find “Highwire Companion” and select the Pin icon. This will pin it to your Toolbar for easy access.
Signing In to Highwire Companion
Once installed, accessing Highwire Companion is just like signing in to your Highwire user account.
- Click the Highwire Companion icon on your Toolbar.
- A slideover panel will appear on the right.
- Enter your Highwire login credentials.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) is also available if your company uses that service.
After signing in, you will see your contractor list. Select from this list or search for a contractor to view their Company information, Status, Approvals, and Score information:

URL Matching
Companion will automatically recognize when you visit the website of a contractor that’s part of the Highwire Network. Their Highwire profile will then be presented in the Companion, and you will have the option to send an invitation to connect.
