How do I use filters in Highwire?

Introduction

Filters allow you to tailor your view to focus on what matters most. By selecting the right filters, you can save time and quickly access the information that’s most relevant to you. You’ll find filter options on both the Home tab and the Contractors tab.

Filters on the Home Tab

You can apply filters to the Home tab to create the views you need immediately upon logging in to Highwire. To access Filters, navigate to the right side of the page:

Once clicked, you will be presented with three categories: Trades, Hierarchies, and Projects. With each category, you can further specify the data you want to see on your Home page.

After making selections in the Filters menu, the left side of your page will display the number of selections made from each category.

In the example below, the Trades category “Engineering Type Services” was selected, which includes eight sub-trades. This is reflected on the left side of the page:

Note that as you make more selections by adding more filters, the stat cards will continue to update accordingly. Here, the Hierarchy category of ”Region > North America” was added:

If you would like to keep the customized view for future use, click “Save View” just above your filters on the left side of the page:

You will then be prompted to name the saved view and determine visibility:

Filters on the Contractors Tab

Filters on the Contractors page function similarly to the Home page. Each filter you set will further specify the companies you see and the data most relevant to your needs. Navigate to the right side of the page to open Filters.

Once opened, you will be presented with a variety of filters to further customize your view of contractors. Scroll down within the menu window to ensure you see all available filters.

After making your selections, click anywhere outside of the Filters window to view your updated “My Contractors” list.

In the example below, the filters are set to display companies that are safety approved, actively connected, and located in the state of Massachusetts. Note that, similar to the Home tab, your selected filters are displayed on the left side of the page:

To save your chosen filters for quick access in the future, click “Save View” and then select “Save as New View.” In the pop-up window, enter a name, determine who you would like to share the view with, and click “Save.”
