Introduction
Your mobile app Home Screen is divided into four sections - Findings, Inspections, Goal This Week, and Inspection Leaders. This article will focus on Findings.
Findings
The Highwire mobile app allows you to create Findings outside of a formal inspection, allowing inspectors to easily document and track both positive and negative observations at any time during their fieldwork.
The Findings section on your Home Screen shows you a summary of your findings for the past 30 days:
Findings Categories
Each category can be defined as follows:
One-offs | A finding that has been created outside of an inspection and is currently unassigned to an inspection. |
Uncorrected | A One-off finding that has not been corrected. |
Corrected | A One-off finding that has been corrected. |
Priority of Findings
A number next to a category indicates a count of findings within that category:
In the example above, there are three One-offs, five Uncorrected, and zero Corrected findings..

Creating a Finding
Creating a Finding from your home screen is simple.
- Click on the blue “+” in the lower right corner:
- You will see a choice between Inspection or Finding. Select Finding:
- You are immediately brought to the Add Attachment pop-up when you click on Finding. Since most One-off findings are observed in real-time in the field, they are typically accompanied by a picture or video, but you can also Continue Without Attachment:
- You are brought to the New Finding page after adding an attachment or continuing without one. You are required to categorize your finding as Positive or Negative, which dictates the mandatory fields that you are required to fill in:
Positive Findings
- For a Positive finding, use the dropdowns to fill out the mandatory fields and then click Done in the upper right corner:
Once you click Done, your finding will be added and reflected in the summary on your Home Screen.
Negative Findings
- For a Negative finding, use the dropdowns to fill out the mandatory fields and then click Done in the upper right corner:
Once you click Done, your finding will be added and reflected in the summary on your Home Screen.
