Mobile Application Overview

Introduction

The Highwire mobile application allows safety professionals to conduct, manage, and share inspection data seamlessly in a single application.

Our enhanced mobile application offers new features and improvements to enable users to conduct inspections and report findings more effectively, even offline. These include:

  • Create and configure inspection types, categories, and question lists.
  • Collect positive and negative findings.
  • Integrate inspection data with contractor risk assessment scores.
  • Add photos, videos, and audio files to inspections.
  • Manage accountability and recognition programs through interactive leaderboards.
  • Share inspection reports and findings with your team.

Home Screen

Your home Screen is divided into four sections - Findings, Inspections, Goal This Week, and Inspection Leaders. Below is a view and a description of each section.

Findings

This section shows you a summary of all findings for the past 30 days, including One-offs, Uncorrected, and Corrected, so you can quickly identify actions you need to take. A number next to a category indicates that there are findings associated with that category. In the example below, there are two findings that are Uncorrected:

You can simply click on Uncorrected to get more detailed information:

Inspections

This next section provides a summary of inspections for the past 30 days, including Assigned, Open, In Progress, and Complete:

Both Open and In Progress indicate that an inspection has been created. Open inspections do not have any findings, while In Progress inspections do.

A number next to a category indicates that there are inspections that fall within that category. In the example above, there are four Assigned inspections, four Open inspections, and four In Progress inspections. The color coding of the numbers is designed to help prioritize required actions, similar to the colors of a traffic light. Red is urgent, and you should stop and investigate immediately. Yellow requires action but may not need to be addressed as urgently.

Click on any category for more detailed information:

Goal This Week

The next section of the home screen is Goal This Week. This function shows inspectors their progress toward the inspection goal. Individual users or their administrators can set inspection goals.

Inspection Leaders

Inspection Leaders allows you to see the lead inspectors in your organization and how each compares against the other:

Creating a Finding or an Inspection

Creating a Finding or an Inspection from the Home Screen is simple and straightforward. Click on the blue “+” in the lower right corner of the Home Screen and select Inspection or Finding

To get detailed instructions on the workflow for creating an Inspection, refer to "How do I create an inspection in the mobile app?" For more details on creating a finding, refer to “How do I create an individual one-off finding in the mobile app?”.

Setting Filters

After clicking on any inspection category, you can use the filter functionality to further refine and focus your view:

  1. In the following example, we will click on the Complete category under Inspections:

  1. You’ll notice that there are two completed inspections performed by two different inspectors:

  1. To set a filter, click on the bars in the upper right corner to open the filter options:

  1. Filter options include a toggle to filter by My Inspections Only and dropdown filters for Date Range, Inspector, Inspection Type, and Project. To continue with the previous example, filter the completed inspections by a specific inspector (e.g., Damian White):

  1. The results are then filtered to show just those inspection(s) by that inspector, and the filter bars have a number next to them to indicate how many filters are set:

  1. Click the Reset button to remove any filters. Toggle the Save Filters button to keep a specific filter set even after you log out of the application.
